Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Trudeau by tweeting. The PM wrote, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the election victory. I look forward to continuing to work together to further strengthen India-Canada ties, as well as to cooperate on global and multilateral issues.”
